Erika and Santa
Santa on vacation after a long night of delivery packages. Notice, he is wearing red. We were very suprised that he was able to hike down the Grand Canyon. Go Santa!

Tonka Sleeping Platform
When we bought the shell it came with a bed rug. It's kind of cool. This picture show the sleeping platform that we originally built this for Pick up to sleep on during road trips. We have some new ideas to improve the sleeping platform and with the help of Walt, (EAL's dad), we hope to rebuild it with nifty storage compartments.
Pick up and Tonka
Out with the old and in with the new. I wish it were so easy. Pick up has been with us for 17 years with out a single problem. It has been in our lives as we've been together. However, it was time, we knew it. We put it off as long as we could. We ended up buying a 2002 Toyota Tacoma V6 4WD extra cab manual spd w/ 37K miles. It's pick ups older sibling on steroids. It's got everything! Air, power window, power locks, and cruise control. What a treat!
We purchased the shell seperately and got a great deal. It was a miracle that we found one in silver. BTW, we found both truck and shell on Craigs List. As you can see, the new shell is much taller.
A friend was dissapointed when he saw Tonka for the first time. "This is exactly like your old truck but newer". Yes, that's the point. Why change a good thing.
We test drove the new Tacoma and were very dissapointed that Toyota decided on a much larger interior and exterior. The engine was very strong though. We even drove the new 4Runner but it was too fancy for our taste.
