If you've not been to Mule Days in Bishop, CA I recommend doing so. It's heald every year during Memorial Day weekend. The locals and visitors in the know, line the parade route the day before with chairs for choice spots. During the parade, expect to see mules of all shapes and sizes and packstations showing off their stuff. After the event, you can visit and pet the mules in their stalls at the fair grounds and see the teams compete at a variety of events during the afternoon and evenings.It's strickly cowboy boots at this event. If you don't have a pair you can buy some at the fair grounds where the vendors sell their goods.
