This is picture was taken in Fair Harbor (Fire Island) on 8/29/05 with my Canon SD400. As I mentioned in a earlier post, my partner and I were walking and came accross this Praying Mantis on the side walk. I took a series of photos of the insect standing and laying on the ground.
